December 3, 2008 - Northeast Tour Begins Tomorrow

Our tour of the northeast kicks off at Mercury Lounge in New York City tomorrow night (Thursday December 4th). Check out the shows page for all of the details. November 18, 2008 - Mercury Lounge Tickets Selling Fast, Tour Announced

November 6, 2008 - Rival Schools Tonight, 12/4 Mercury Lounge Tickets On Sale

We’re very excited for our show with Rival Schools at Mercury Lounge tonight. We played with them on Tuesday and it was an amazing show. We’ve gotten a word that a very limited number of tickets were just released. Get them at Ticketmaster while they last.

September 30, 2008 - Mercury Lounge Tickets On Sale Wednesday At Noon

Tickets for our headlining show at Mercury Lounge in New York City on December 4th go on sale this Wednesday at noon through Ticketmaster and the Mercury Lounge Box Office. We’ll be joined by our good buddies Howlies and The Kiss-Off. Tickets are $10 in advance. Make sure to buy them early, as we expect it to sell out. We’ve also added a ton of new shows including several CMJ performances and dates with We Are Scientists, Cloud Cult, and Bang Bang Eche.

August 5, 2008 - Another McCarren Pool Show Announced

We’re very pleased to announced that we’ll be performing as part of the final night of The L Magazine’s “SummerScreen” on Tuesday, August 26th. We hit the stage at 7pm sharp, and the show is entirely free.

June 29, 2008 - Pianos Tickets On Sale, McCarren Pool Show Announced

Advance sale tickets for our Pianos residency on July 10, 17, and 24 are now available through TicketWeb. All proceeds from the performance on July 17th will benefit the New York Center For Autism. In addition, we’ve announced a free acoustic show at McCarren Pool in Williamsburg on July 8th. Check out the shows page for all of the details.

April 14, 2008 – Headlining Mercury Lounge Show Announced (Tix On Sale Tomorrow)

We’re excited to announce that we’ll be celebrating the official release of the New York Nothing EP with a headlining show at Mercury Lounge in New York City on May 21st. Joining us will be our Canadian friends (and Juno Award-Winning) Wintersleep, as well as a few other special guests. Tickets are $10 and go on sale through Tickemaster.com and the Mercury Lounge Box Office tomorrow (4/15) at noon. Each ticket purchased will also include a free copy of the CD!

April 8, 2008 – Boston University Show Announced

January 30, 2008 – New Songs, New Shows, New Year!

2008 is off to a great start. We’ve been hard at work in our rehearsal space writing new songs and getting ready for a big year. We’ve also added a new show at one of our all-time favorite clubs, Maxwell’s in Hoboken, NJ. And we have the honor of playing with Be Your Own Pet that night! They’re unbelievable live, so make sure you check them out. Advance sale tix are now on sale, and we expect it to sell out. We’ll also have a slew of new tour dates popping up very soon. So, be on the lookout!

February 15, 2007 - Pianos New York City Residency Announced

The King Left will be performing an April residency at Pianos in New York City. The performances will take place on April 4, 11, and 18. Each show will consist of a completey unique setlist and will feature brand new songs, as well as very old songs. One date will be a stripped-down/acoustic performance. February 7, 2007 - Sin-e Show Added

The King Left had an amazing debut on the CMJ Top 200 at #98, just one week after being the #3 most added band in the country! The latest issue of CMJ had this to say about the band:

December 4, 2005 - The King Left is #3 Most Added at College Radio!

The King Left had the #3 most added record on the CMJ (College Music Journal) charts this week! This means that over 130 college stations across the United States and Canada put The King Left EP into rotation. Call your local station to request it.

December 1, 2005 - The Picture Record Release Party

The King Left will be performing at The Delancey (NYC) on December 15th as part of The Picture’s Record Release Party. Also on the bill will be Lola Ray and Bravo Silva. They’ll be premiering several brand new songs.

November 13, 2005 - New Songs Online

November 6, 2005 - New EP Release

The King Left finished mixing their brand new EP in late October with engineer Ian Love. It was produced by Sammy Siegler (of Nightmare Of You) and will be released in early December. The King Left will be playing a record release party in Manhattan around that time. Stay tuned for details on the show. You can pre-order the EP at the store page.
