Summer Pool Parties and July Shows

June 29th, 2008

Hi Hi Hi There.

This electronic mail is being sent eS.W.A.K. to you, our loved ones, chockfull of goodies. So, grab a red sharpie and your calendar.

First off, The L Magazine is putting on this shindig called SummerScreen at McCarren Pool, and they were kind enough to ask The King Left to play a free acoustic show there on July 8th. We promptly accepted, so we’ll bring the cheese if you bring the wine. We hit the stage at 7pm.

A couple of days after that we’re going to launch into our residency at Piano’s, scheduled for Thursday, July 10th, 17th, and 24th. We go on at 9:30pm each week. Our annual benefit for the New York Center for Autism will be on the 17th.

The New York Nothing EP is now available on iTunes and our website. The CD comes with a QuickTime video for “The Storm In A Teacup” (or, “Why I Started Smoking Again”) that you can drag onto your desktop and watch ad nauseam like Graham does.

Thanks to everyone who made our sold out EP Release show at Mercury Lounge so memorable. We’ve got a load of new songs in the oven browning nicely, and we can’t wait to play them for you.
Hope to see you in July.

Much love,
Corey “I’m not afraid to admit I cry in sad films” Oliver

Tour Diary (Coming Soon)

May 1st, 2008

We’ll use this spot to let you know what’s going on in the life of The King Left. We had a great trip to play at Boston Univeristy this past weekend. A couple of our friends made the trek with us. You can look for their tour journal here in the coming days. And if you’re looking for our personal musings. You can find them on this site too. Just not right here…
